Summer arrives in Sotogrande.-
The summer season is just around the corner, and the urbanization is preparing for the usual influx of visitors, both domestic and foreign, each summer.
Roads are repaired, signs are repainted, information posts are replaced, the pruning of trees and shrubs in common areas is completed, in a display of gardening, to offer our visitors our best face during the summer.
The sports clubs finalize the preparation of the events that will focus the sports activities of this paradise in southern Europe.
As always there will be Polo of the highest level, and the Santa María Polo Club will once again be filled with the glamor of the visitors at its fields in Puente de Hierro and Los Pinos.
The three cups will once again be put into play, the bronze and silver cups and, closing in August, the gold cup, and Sotogrande will once again be the world center of Polo during the month and a half that the competitions last for the different handicaps.
Golf will also be the protagonist, how could it be otherwise in a place that has five courses within the urbanization, some located in the top five of the European continent, the summer tournament will cover not only the courses of the urbanization but not also the nearby San Roque Club and Alcaidesa links, no one doubts that golf is one of the hallmarks of Sotogrande.
Sailing will also play a leading role, like every summer, and due to the effort made by the Real Club Marítimo de Sotogrande, we will have several national and regional competitions in the different categories, including the traditional regional summer regatta and the national cruise championship.
Likewise, the rackets will have their bit of glory, with the international tennis school of the Octagon at full capacity and the paddle competitions and trophies in its different categories.
Of all these competitions we will give complete information on dates, participants, locations, etc. in future editions of our blog as the events get closer.
